1. X-RUNNING AS jacket, made from WINDSTOPPER® Active Shell

The X-RUNNING AS jacket from GORE RUNNING WEAR™ has been developed by several  teams of experts, all of whom are well aware of what extreme distance running entails. The result is a jacket that stays feeling good for longer than anyone can run.

The X-Running line provides optimum freedom of movement and protection for off-road runners. This apparel system, combining robust materials and the characteristic X-Running styling, was specifically developed for long cross-country and trail running.

Material combination: This is the first time the extreme lightweight WINDSTOPPER® Active Shell has been included in this line. The garment has outstanding breathability and packs away into a very small space, with large stretch gussets in the back area. This provides optimum freedom of movement particularly for the arms, which is vital for maintaining balance on slippery or rocky terrain, on hill climbs, or with walking sticks. Reinforced sections are provided in the shoulder and hip areas to make the jacket suitable for use with a backpack or hip bag.

A range of other features are provided for long-distance runners. The lower arm zip fastener has now been positioned for a significant improvement in ventilation. This means the sleeves can be rolled right up to create a tee-shirt feeling, while retaining the level of protection offered by a jacket. The new separate hood opens up an extra-wide view, and is conveniently stowed in an inside pocket until required.

The jacket is available in men's and women's versions, with corresponding differences in styling and cut.
